The Wheel of the Year and the Tree of Life
John Michael Greer has an intriguing article describing the correspondences between the Wheel of the Year and the Tree of Life posted on the AODA website (The Tree of Life and the Wheel of the Year). He also provides more correspondences in The Druidry Handbook and The Druid Magic Handbook. Manly P. Hall included other correspondences in The Secret Teachings of All Ages, as did Sharlyn Hidalgo in The Wisdom of the Celtic Tree Ogham.
Some of the correspondences are in lists. Some are in tables. Some are in prose. My favorite, though, is JMG's graphic of eight circles in a circle around a central circle.
I've expanded on his idea, creating a series of circles to organize the correspondences of the eight festivals, the Spheres, the Tarot, the Elements, the Ogham, and the phases of the Moon. I haven't included any new insights, just tried to organize the information so I could see the relationships easier. (I did assign Tarot cards for Tiphareth and Yesod, though.) The graphics are linked below as a PDF.

My current side-quest has gotten much more complicated than I anticipated. In my readings (to get a better understanding of the Wheel of the Year), I came across a few mentions that Herakles' labors correspond to the Zodiac. That seemed interesting (and, initially, not that complicated). But there are many many variations of the myths, different sequences of labors, and I'm sure there is something to learn from each version, but, jiminy, my notes are just a jumble at the moment. I know you have studied Greek/Roman mythology... any resources you would recommend on Herakles/Hercules?
(And what really has my brain spinning is I have found two references... one being Manly P. Hall (so I trust it) that the Zodiac used to have TEN houses, not twelve. (Hall said Virgo-Scorpio was considered one and that the Greeks split it and added Libra in between them, for symmetry, but another author had two different signs combined). Regardless, the idea of a ten-sign Zodiac that could possibly align with the ten spheres seemed like something I should pursue. But I haven't found anything on it yet and (so far), the images in my meditations are somewhat elusive. )
Anyway, no point in trying to start A Vision yet, because my brain won't stop thinking about Herakles and the Zodiac until I get some sort of closure. But any resources you could recommend would be appreciated.
